We have used Chemopet for a number of cases now and think it provides a fantastic service. We have been able to use a greatly increased range of chemotherapeutic agents under specialist guidance and provide far more effective cancer care to our patients.
Iain is always available to discuss new and ongoing cases and genuinely cares about the individual patients. To have access to specialist advice that is tailored to a particular pet – and that extends beyond drugs and doses, is invaluable. The practical side of Chemopet is exceptional too. The provision of patient and drug specific administration sets and directions ensures that there is the highest possible level of safety for both patients and, very importantly, staff. Deliveries are as promised and frequently I will discuss a case with Iain one day and the medication is being used in the practice the very next. Being able to treat patients effectively in first opinion practice is wonderful for our clients, reducing travelling, disruption and often waiting times. Both client and patient are able to see a friendly and familiar face and a routine is easily established.
The quality of life of our patients is utmost at all times; Chemopet helps us to preserve this quality for longer in our cancer patients. Educating vets, nurses and clients about the differences in treating animals with cancer and perceptions of chemotherapy in humans can be a challenge, but Iain is able to help make that happen. Our staff are now better able to discuss chemotherapy in pets and can reassure clients from personal experience.
Ultimately, Chemopet has helped us to provide better care and quality of life to our cancer patients.
